Observable combines beautiful, best-in-class visualizations with collaboration tools so that people can uncover new insights, answer more questions, and make better decisions for their projects and their businesses.

Observable is seeking a contract Marketing Designer to help us visually communicate our story across marketing channels. Though there is always an opportunity to hire the very best people, please note that this is a contract role. Successful candidates will have experience creating visual assets for technical, developer-centric audiences. The right candidate should be prepared to build upon their already strong portfolio with some of the best work of their career.

What You Will Do

• Design 6–8 marketing and landing pages, including our home page with unique signature elements
• Update our library of reusable, composable elements for the site
• Create an array of marketing assets, including visuals for paid ad campaigns, social media, blogs, videos, and more
• Develop visual elements in support of our brand evolution, including illustrations, backgrounds, and textures
• Refine our existing newsletter and email templates
• Ensure brand consistency in all your work
  
  

What You Will Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a designer creating digital marketing assets
• A portfolio including both data visualizations and a website for a B2B company delivering to technical users
• Familiarity with data visualization or BI tools
• Ability to balance moving quickly with delivering quality work
• Ability to create animations a plus
