You will play a critical role in developing and scaling our groundbreaking technology, shaping the future of how we organize and interact with digital content.The roleSkeema is looking for an experienced engineering leader to be part of the founding team. This leader will partner with the CEO in creating our flagship product and in preparing Skeema to execute its product & company visions. This role is responsible for turning our vision into reality, building and growing our technical team and foundation. This role will drive iteration on Skeema’s technology and build a core technical team as the company scales. The right candidate will be comfortable acting as a player/coach initially and through the early stages of the company.What you'll do

• Be part of the founding team to partner cross-functionally with the CEO and other co-founders to create the product
• Create a development roadmap that maps with expenditures to build a timely product
• Leverage a passion for advanced AI and delightful interaction design to deliver a high-performing, fun, collaborative company culture
• Partner with Product Management and Design to create a world-class culture
• Hire technical talent, lead and grow the team effectively
• Fill technical gaps on the team, be comfortable writing code directly
• Oversee full-stack product development and devops teams -- front- and back-end experience
• Deploy strategies to ensure efficient product release and iteration
• Report progress and updates to the board
• Work with the Menlo Labs team to support venture development
  
  

What we look for

• Experience architecting and building full stack web applications using modern Javascript frameworks, such as React and Vue
• Experience building AI/ML applications
• 7+ years of experience working in a disciplined software technology environment
• Experience leading development teams in backend, frontend and devops technology
• Experience in a high-growth startup, building teams from the ground up
• Experience creating a consumer or b2b2c product from the ground up
• Strong cross-functional experience partnering with UX and Product
• Have strong recommendations and relationships with their previous team
