Position Summary

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager, Events Marketing to join our high-performing marketing team. This role is pivotal in planning, organizing, and executing strategic events that showcase our technology, build strong industry connections, and elevate our brand presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, a deep understanding of the industry landscape, and proven experience in orchestrating successful events.

About the role

  • Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement event marketing strategies aligned with company goals and target audience preferences.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure events complement overall marketing and business strategies.
  • Event Planning and Execution:
    • Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including conferences, product launches, trade shows, webinars, and virtual events.
    • Virtual event planning experience is a must in this role including promotion, virtual platform usage, gathering speaker recordings and more.
    • Coordinate logistics, venue selection, catering, audio-visual requirements, and other event details to ensure seamless execution.
  • Promotion and Outreach:
    • Utilize various marketing channels, including social media, email, and other digital platforms, to promote events and drive attendance.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate event promotions into overall marketing campaigns.
  • Audience Engagement:
    • Develop strategies to enhance attendee experience and engagement during events.
    • Incorporate interactive elements, networking opportunities, and other features to create a positive and memorable event atmosphere.
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of events.
    • Analyze data and feedback to make informed decisions and continuously improve future events.
  • Budget Management:
    • Manage event budgets efficiently, ensuring cost-effective planning and execution.
    • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to maximize budgetary resources.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, product development, and PR, to align event objectives with broader company goals.
    • Foster strong relationships with external partners, sponsors, and vendors.

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Events Marketing Manager or similar role in the tech industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of current technology trends and a genuine interest in the tech landscape.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with event management software and event-related tools.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient project management skills to coordinate and execute events successfully.
  • Ability to create and adhere to event timelines

Work Location

We would ideally like for someone to be located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Dallas but will consider remote from within the US.
