We are seeking a Deal Desk & Commercial Operations Manager to partner closely with our Sales, Finance, and Legal teams to take our deal desk to the next level of effectiveness and efficiency. You will handle the processes for our deals supporting continued growth and modeling continuous improvement.

This role is hybrid for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area. Appdome is currently located in Redwood City, CA with plans to relocate to SF.

About the Role

The Deal Desk Analyst will play a critical role at the intersection of Sales, Commercial, Legal, and Finance covering traditional deal desk responsibilities -- quote production, delivery, and management -- while also supporting cross-functional processes critical to deal closure and completion, and continuing to build our deal desk database and reporting capabilities.

We are looking for a problem solver with experience in fast-paced SAAS sales. You will help take our deal desk function to the next level helping identify and implement efficient, compliant, and scalable methods. You will also work with our team to identify and implement quote and contract automation tools.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys building structure out of ambiguity, and brings exceptional organizational skills and a strong bias toward operational excellence, cross-functional partnership, and data-driven decision making. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Intake, prepare, issue, and revise sales quotes and expansions, supporting the quoting process end-to-end.
  • Work with Legal and Finance to maintain and improve quote workflows, ensuring alignment with legal and commercial requirements.
  • Support the identification and implementation, configuration, and optimization of CPQ quote automation software and CRM systems.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on CPQ quote automation software and CRM systems to support sales and commercial legal processes.
  • Partner with Legal to ensure standardization of contract terms relevant to the quoting and sales process.
  • Implement configurations and process changes related to pricing, discounting, contract terms, and approvals.
  • Support successful completion of customer-side procurement, onboarding, third-party risk management, and audit processes, collaborating effectively with necessary stake-holders and contributors.
  • Maintain deal desk data tracking and reporting, including preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and other materials.
  • Drive efficient and effective quoting encouraging use of tools, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in deal desk and/or revenue roles related to sales.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience with CPQ software/platforms and use of automation workflows.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot experience a plus), Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Docusign.
  • Strong ability to work independently as well as in collaborative cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to navigate between sales, finance, and legal perspectives.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail, process thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with distributed / global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience in a B2B SAAS deal desk analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in SaaS or subscription-based businesses strongly preferred.
  • Financial acumen and knowledge of revenue recognition.
  • Ability to handle on complex SaaS or technology deals.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize activities.
  • Organizational, follow-up, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Experience working directly with legal or contracts teams.
  • Knowledge of SaaS commercial terms and metrics.

Appdome is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.

The base pay range for this role is US$100,000-150,000 + Stock options. Actual compensation as well as title, are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications, among others.

The total compensation package for this position may also include performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
