About the role

We are seeking a Commercial Operations Program Manager to lead and scale Anthropic's commercial operations programs. This role will oversee a team responsible for billing and pricing operations, privacy operations, and other operational functions that support our rapid product growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations, a passion for process improvement, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a rapidly scaling environment.


  • Lead the commercial operations function, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop, implement, and optimize end-to-end billing operations, including customer onboarding, system management, and issue resolution, while ensuring compliance with financial regulations and privacy standards
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Finance teams to automate processes, implement system upgrades, and integrate billing across various platforms
  • Analyze billing performance, user trends, and operational metrics to drive data-informed decisions, identify improvement opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations to leadership
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex billing issues, working cross-functionally to resolve user problems, improve customer satisfaction, and refine support processes
  • Oversee the development and implementation of privacy and regulatory operations functions, ensuring a cohesive approach to risk management and compliance
  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain best practices
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and GTM teams to ensure smooth operations and support business growth and customer retention

You may be a good fit if you have:

  • 7+ years of experience in operations (experience in high-volume SaaS billing a plus)
  • 5+ years of people management experience, preferably in a fast-growing technology company
  • Strong working knowledge of billing systems, subscription management, and invoicing tools (experience with Stripe and Metronome a plus)
  • Proven track record of building and scaling operational programs in high-growth environments
  • Excellent analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and data-driven decision-making
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional initiatives
  • Adaptability and comfort working in fast-paced, high-volume, ambiguous environments
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

The expected salary range for this position is:

Annual Salary:
$240,000$285,000 USD


Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Compensation and Benefits*

Anthropic’s compensation package consists of three elements: salary, equity, and benefits. We are committed to pay fairness and aim for these three elements collectively to be highly competitive with market rates.

Equity - For eligible roles, equity will be a major component of the total compensation. We aim to offer higher-than-average equity compensation for a company of our size, and communicate equity amounts at the time of offer issuance.
