Role Description The Outbound Growth Account Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Dansville, NY. This role is responsible for driving new business growth by proactively identifying, engaging, and converting prospective clients to Paylocity’s HR, payroll, and spend management solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting through calls, emails, and social outreach; conducting discovery conversations to understand client needs; and delivering tailored product presentations and demos. The Outbound Growth Account Executive will manage the sales cycle from initial contact to close, collaborate with internal teams to support client onboarding, and maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in CRM tools. The role also involves meeting or exceeding sales targets, staying current on industry trends and product updates, and representing Paylocity’s values in all client interactions.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated success in outbound B2B sales or account executive roles, preferably in SaaS or technology solutions.
  • Strong prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities, including comfort speaking with executive and HR leaders.
  • Solid understanding of consultative selling techniques and the ability to translate client needs into tailored solution recommendations.
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales productivity tools to track activities, forecast revenue, and report on performance.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on meeting or exceeding sales goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including implementation, customer success, and marketing.
  • Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Knowledge of HR, payroll, or financial technology solutions is beneficial but not required.
