Position Overview
This role is responsible for ensuring operational, customer, and organizational readiness for product launches, particularly for tiered-product releases. You will lead the Enablement and Launch Management teams and be responsible for aligning cross-functional teams, driving launch execution, enhancing go-to-market execution, and clearing obstacles to ensure successful product launches. The leader is exceptional at cross-functional collaboration, driving outcomes, and fostering a results-oriented team with a strong bias for action.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $149,500/yr - $213,600/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here. This information is provided per the relevant state and local pay transparency laws for the location in which this position will be performed. Base pay information is based on market location. Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and mentor the Enablement and Launch Management teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Develop, implement, and mature the Launch Management practice to support tiered product releases, ensuring organizational readiness across all functional areas (e.g., Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Support).
- Drive consistent and scalable processes for launch readiness, from planning through enablement and execution, ensuring alignment with business goals and product strategies.
- Oversee product enablement initiatives, ensuring Paylocity’s internal teams (sales, customer support, implementation, and client success) have the tools, knowledge, and training to effectively support products and services.
- Establish scalable frameworks and best practices for knowledge transfer and ongoing learning to drive employee and client adoption of Paylocity’s offerings.
- Measure and refine enablement programs based on feedback, adoption metrics, and performance analytics.
- Work closely with product management, engineering, sales, marketing, customer support, and other key stakeholders to ensure successful Go-To-Market (GTM) execution, customer readiness, and operational alignment.
- Foster strong communication and alignment between cross-functional teams, ensuring all teams are informed, prepared, and aligned for launch success.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive leadership regarding launch status, risks, and outcomes.
- Ensure that all internal teams (sales, support, marketing, etc.) are fully prepared for new product launches, from training to resource allocation.
- Define and track key milestones for launch readiness and execute pre-launch readiness assessments to ensure timely delivery.
- Manage resources, budgets, and timelines for all launch activities, ensuring they align with the overall product roadmap.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to launch readiness, working cross-functionally to resolve any potential issues before or during the launch process.
- Lead the team in clearing obstacles and ensuring a fast, efficient path to successful product launches, ensuring that roadblocks are quickly addressed and resolved.
- Own the continual development of best practices and processes for product launches, refining the Launch Management framework to support increasing product complexity and scale.
- Conduct post-launch retrospectives to capture insights and drive improvements in future launches.
- Implement lessons learned and feedback loops into the Launch Management process to ensure ongoing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, action, and collaboration.
- Mentor and develop team members, promoting a bias for action, results-oriented thinking, and proactive problem-solving.
- Ensure the team has the tools, resources, and training necessary to execute successful product launches.
- Bachelor’s degree (BBA, B.S. in Technology, Engineering, or related fields) required
- 7+ years of experience in product operations, launch management, product management, or program management, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Proven experience in overseeing the full lifecycle of product launches, from pre-launch planning to post-launch analysis.
- Expertise in managing cross-functional teams and driving alignment across various business units (e.g., Product, Marketing, Engineering, Customer Support).
- Strong ability to identify and manage risks, remove obstacles, and ensure the timely delivery of complex product launches.
- Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership and aligning stakeholders across various functions.
- Ability to foster a bias for action and results within your team, while maintaining high standards for execution and delivery.
- Experience with enablement tools, product launch frameworks, and agile methodologies is a plus.
