About the Role

As a Lead Outbound Product Manager you will play a critical role in evangelizing our product portfolio, spearheading the storytelling of how customers use our product offerings and thereby informing strategic product investments. You will be working closely with our customer base, representing the voice of the product, effectively de-escalating customer engagement and directly contributing to our ever growing rate of customer acquisition and renewals.

You will play a pivotal role as the technical/domain expert who owns the external roadmap for the product, related solutions, and competitive differences. You will partner closely with R&D, GTM, and Data Science to drive business performance, product adoption and customer satisfaction while building a best in class operating system to support the achievement of those goals.

The Messaging Security Products (MSP) Division serves as the foundation for Abnormal product portfolio and houses our most commonly used products and features. The teams in the Division drive key work streams to provide better protection to customers, supercharge security team workflows, and effectively communicate product value to users and buyers.

What you will do

  • Become an Abnormal Product Expert, operating cross functionally across R&D, GTM, and Data Science.
  • Be the voice of the product communicating directly with customers and effectively de-escalating customer calls across our largest and most strategic accounts.
  • Influence the long term product roadmap by being the liaison between the Abnormal and its ever growing customer base.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and provide insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement within R&D teams.
  • Build out our outbound operating system making customer engagements efficient and streamlined.

Qualifications & Core Competencies

  • Product Expert - must be an expert in Email Security & Abnormal’s Product over time
  • Top Notch Communication Skills / Customer Centricity - Comfortable Leading Escalation calls
  • Equally Comfortable working with GTM and R&D
  • Proven experience as an Outbound PM, PM, PMM or Sales Engineer
  • Strong understanding of metrics development, data analysis, and reporting
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with data visualization tools and techniques
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Communication/collaboration: Will work closely with several other teams at Abnormal, and needs to be able to understand other products and how they fit together

Must Haves

  • 5-7+ years of product management experience or an equivalent technical role in a customer-facing capacity
  • Experience working on technical problems, identifying user needs, sizing product investments, prioritizing opportunities, and defining requirements for solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface effectively with both internal stakeholders and customers
  • High operational excellence and ownership in all work that is undertaken
  • Strong analytical skills, with the capacity to reason through ambiguous problems and make effective and well-justified decisions
  • Extreme ownership, growth mindset, and willingness to learn quickly in a high-paced startup environment

  • Prior experience at enterprise SaaS / B2B companies
  • Prior startup experience
  • Analytical skills and intermediate to advanced data analysis skills (SQL, etc.)
