About the Role

As the R&D Engineering Operations (Jira) Manager in our Enterprise SaaS business, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the use of Jira as a core tool in our R&D operating system. Your role is crucial in ensuring that Jira is effectively utilized across the R&D organization to streamline processes, enhance project management, and improve overall operational efficiency.

What You Will Do

• Jira Management and Optimization: Oversee the use of Jira within the R&D department, ensuring it is optimally configured to support our project management and operational needs.
• Process Standardization: Implement and maintain consistent processes in Jira to streamline project management, sprint planning, and tracking across all R&D teams.
• Collaboration and Training: Work closely with R&D teams to understand their needs and challenges with Jira, providing training and support to maximize its utility.
• Continuous Improvement: Continually assess and improve the Jira setup, adapting to changing needs and seeking ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor key metrics related to Jira usage, such as consistency across R&D teams and coverage of the operating system, to ensure continuous improvement.
• Best Practices Development: Develop and share best practices for using Jira effectively within an R&D context.

Must Haves

• Proven experience in managing Jira or similar project management tools, ideally within an R&D or technology-focused environment.
• Strong understanding of software development processes and project management principles.
• Excellent organizational and technical skills, with a focus on process optimization.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and effectively communicate technical concepts.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges.
