About The Role

As a Scientist/Senior Scientist, Computational Protein Design in the AI Protein Design team you will have prior experience with protein design and engineering, with a deep understanding of biochemical and computational considerations for protein design while having expertise in a high-level programming language such as Python and modern HPC and cloud compute workflows.

Minimum Qualifications

• Hands-on experience (3+ years) in protein design and engineering, with a deep understanding of biochemical and computational considerations for protein design
• Expertise with a high-level programming language such as Python and modern HPC and cloud compute workflows
• Hands-on experience with RosettaFold, RFdiffusion, AlphaFold, or ESMFold
• Deep structural knowledge of proteins
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail
• Strong curiosity of areas of biology previously unknown to you
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet project timelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex scientific concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with researchers from diverse fields, including computational and experimental biologists, and provide scientific guidance, support as needed
• PhD in bioengineering, biophysics, biochemistry, computational biology, chemical engineering, or related field
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of post-doctoral or equivalent industry experience in Protein Design or related field
• Strong publication record in protein design and engineering for therapeutic protein applications
• Experience using LIMS and Benchling systems. Substantial experience with DNA synthesis and protein production CROs and lab vendors
