About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Biosensor expert to join our team and play a key role in the development and application of biosensor technology for high-throughput assays. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in biosensors and experience with high-throughput assays to design, optimize, and implement novel assays for various applications.

What You'll Do And Learn

• Design and develop novel biosensor assays for high-throughput screening applications
• Optimize assay performance parameters such as sensitivity, specificity, and dynamic range
• Implement and validate high-throughput biosensor assays for various applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues associated with biosensor assays
• Stay current with the latest advancements in biosensor technology and high-throughput assays
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate assay development progress and results
• Utilize automation systems to ensure efficient and precise execution of experiments
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of experiments, protocols, and results in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements
• Interpret and present scientific findings at research meetings. Provide scientific input and propose follow-up experiments
• Collaborate and communicate across diverse research teams to successfully achieve scientific goals
• Contribute to scientific publications, patents, and presentations to disseminate research findings both internally and externally
  
  

Qualifications

• Strong experience in designing and optimizing high-throughput assays
• Hands on experience with various biosensor technologies such as SPR and BLI
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor and/or Master of Science degree in biochemistry, or relevant field with 7+ years of industrial experience or Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, or a related field with 3+ years of industry experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in using automation to generate high throughput binding data and curating the data set
• Experience in determining membrane protein interactions
• Experience using LIMS and Benchling systems
  
  

Compensation

The specific compensation package for this role depends on experience, qualifications and level. Xaira Therapeutics is an equal opportunity employer.
