About Suno
We're building the world's first platform for creating and discovering original music, including Suno Studio, a generative audio workstation, and Hooks, a new way to create and share videos that bring songs to life.
Powered by the leading music-creation model and designed to amplify imagination, our platform makes it possible for anyone to turn inspiration into music. With Suno, ideas flow into sound, songs become yours, and everyone can experience the joy of creating.
Suno is one of the fastest-growing AI startups in the world, backed by leading investors including Menlo Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Matrix, NVentures, and Hallwood Media.
About the Role
As the first dedicated Payments Platform PM, you'll own the infrastructure that sits beneath subscriptions, payment integrity, and the credits system that powers every feature we ship. Suno has a simple subscription system today, but new products and a rapidly growing international user base mean the foundation needs to mature fast. You'll work cross-functionally with core platform, payment integrity, and growth team leadership, reporting to Suno's Head of Growth. The architecture decisions you make here will matter for years — this is a rare chance to build billing infrastructure that scales with product ambition rather than constraining it.
What You'll Do
Own Suno's end-to-end billing infrastructure — integrations with payment processors, subscription lifecycle management, payment method handling, credits, and more
Build a scalable credits and entitlements system that supports new feature types, including things like promotional credits, gifted access, and usage-based models
Support our payments integrity work: work with the team as they configure and tune fraud detection rules, drive down dispute rates, and manage our standing with processor chargeback thresholds
Define and own our revenue recovery strategy — retry logic, smart dunning timing, and delinquency communications — with a direct mandate to reduce the ~10–11% involuntary churn we see at first renewal
Own our compliance posture on PCI DSS scope, SCA requirements, and payment-related regulatory obligations as we expand across markets
Build the billing health instrumentation layer — payment success rates, authorization rates, recovery rates, dispute rates — so the team has clear, reliable signal on the state of the payment stack
Partner with Growth Engineering on payment method optimizations, card updater integrations, and checkout improvements that move authorization rates and conversion
Qualifications
6+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years specifically owning payments, billing, or subscription infrastructure at a consumer or B2C product
Hands-on Stripe / RevenueCat experience is preferred — you understand the object model (Customer → PaymentMethod → Subscription → Invoice → PaymentIntent), can debug a billing issue without an engineer translating, and you have scar tissue
Subscription lifecycle depth: you've owned trials, renewals, proration, upgrades/downgrades, and the entitlements layer that sits beneath them
Experience designing or materially improving dunning flows, with measurable impact on involuntary churn recovery
Payment risk fluency: you've worked with fraud detection tooling, understand the difference between soft and hard decline categories, and have tuned rules in a high-volume consumer environment
Comfortable driving decisions in deeply cross-functional environments — legal, finance, compliance, and engineering — not just product and eng
Bonus: Experience with mobile app store billing (App Store IAP, Google Play) and its constraints; credits/wallet system design for digital goods; working across multiple PSPs
