Title: Senior Manager, Business Development
Location: New Delhi (Remote)
Shift: Night Shift (7:30 PM IST - 4:30 AM IST)
Role Description:
We are hiring a Senior Manager, Business Development. The incumbent will be responsible for managing a dynamic, growing, and collaborative team of inbound Business Development Representatives (“BDRs”). This person is integral in providing thought leadership, sales tactics, and accountability to deliver revenue growth.
The Senior Manager of Business Development will focus on enhancing team proficiency, reducing ramp time, and driving revenue, while fostering an engaging culture, whether in-person or remotely. The ideal candidate possesses a successful track record in both an individual contributor role and sales management. They are comfortable with ambiguity, love to creatively solve problems and are eager to own the challenges that come while building a new team.
What you’ll do:
- Responsible for delivering defined KPIs for the team with a hands-on approach to understand gaps and steer continuous improvement efforts.
- Develop a successful team of Leads & ICs in a growth environment including developing the team for future changes, guiding the team's change resilience and minimizing performance impacts associated with change.
- Execute repeatable sales process to identify, contact, and generate meetings.
- Prepare weekly team meetings to focus on strategy and execution.
- Dedicate time to every team member weekly for one-on-one coaching and pipeline evaluation.
- Investigate current workflows to define best practices for maximizing efficiency, pipeline strength, and sales productivity
- Cultivate and support an environment of success, accountability and (healthy) competition.
- Organize and own training programs that empower the team to exceed company sales goals.
- Relentlessly pursue incremental improvements within the sales process to increase conversion rates, shorten the sales process and identify more high value opportunities.
- Apply metrics-based coaching and ensure every team member is clear on what is expected of them daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually.
- Other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
What you’ll bring to the table:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in business development, sales or a related role.
- Minimum 3 years of people management experience, preferably in SaaS, Fulfillment, or Logistics. Established ability to recruit, hire, and train teams of successful sales representatives.
- Prior Experience working with international markets (US/EU/AU).
- Established track record of success as an individual contributor and manager of others working a book of business.
- Comfortable with operating in a fast paced, high growth startup environment.
- High levels of self-motivation, ownership, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate.
- Experience and success managing sales cycles of various lengths.
- Strategic thinker with solid analytical and creative problem–solving abilities.
- Culture carrier and positive influence with the ability to positively motivate others.
- Candidate should be available in NCR region for in-person team workshops and trainings as required.
