Title: Senior Accountant - Consolidations

Location: Remote in these states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, KS, KY, IA, ID, IL, IN, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI

Role Description:

We are seeking an innovative Senior Accountant to fill a new position on our continually growing Accounting & Finance team. The position will report to the Consolidations and International Accounting Manager along with having daily interactions with the company’s Global Controller and leadership. The Senior Accountant will be instrumental in helping to establish and refine the Company’s procedures and accounting processes to account for its international entities and consolidations.

What you’ll do:

  • Perform month end accounting processes including journal entry preparation and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts for international entities.
  • Analyze and review the company’s intercompany transactions and prepare any eliminating entries.
  • Maintain and review consolidated accounts, intercompany accounts, fx accounts, and related schedules in the preparation of the consolidated financial statements.
  • Support monthly financial statement preparation and prepare analysis for monthly variances.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the consolidations processes and procedures.
  • Assist external reporting and local accounting teams with the preparation and audit of consolidated and statutory financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the tax team by preparing schedules, explaining supporting material and procedures and any other data as needed.
  • Assist on special projects and ad hoc assignments for both the consolidations and broader accounting teams.
  • Other duties/responsibilities as necessary.

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
  • CPA or CPA Candidate a plus.
  • 3-6 years of accounting experience with public company experience.
  • Consolidations and intercompany experience preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of US GAAP and ability to write technical memos.
  • Advanced Excel skills required, including VLOOKUP’s, SUMIF’s and Pivot Tables.
  • Ability to research complex accounting issues.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with a team, but can manage their workload independently.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite) and driving automation and efficiency.

ShipBob believes in transparency while providing a competitive total compensation package with a pay for performance approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $72,450 - $120,750.
