The Role

Join the Sana AI search team to shape the future of knowledge work from enterprise search to intelligent agents. Our goal is to enable humans and agents to understand, find, and act on any piece of information, regardless of format. To achieve this we are reconsidering the traditional enterprise search stack from the ground up to be inherently multi-modal and leverage the latest developments in LLMs.

You’ll work on everything related to the data that powers both enterprise search and agentic workflows, including large scale ingestion, orchestration, and logging. This role requires a deep understanding of modern retrieval systems, data pipelines and solid data engineering/backend skills as well as an understanding of generative AI.

What You’ll Do

• Build data ingestion pipelines to integrate and process data from various sources to ensure high-quality, consistent input for search systems.

• Design and implement robust logging systems for data collection from Sana apps and backends.

• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines to maintain high performance and reliability.

• Collaborate closely with other engineers on satisfying data needs for AI features.

Your background looks something like

• Proven track record building distributed, data-intensive systems.

• Skilled in optimizing performance, reliability and scalability.

• Hands-on experience with data processing or workflow orchestration frameworks (e.g., Apache Beam, Hatchet, Temporal) and analytics databases (BigQuery).

• Data-driven approach to problem solving with attention to reliability and data quality.

• Strong experience in software engineering, ideally for AI systems.
