We are seeking a Research Technician who will assist with the execution of in vivo experiments, and troubleshoot study activities. As a Research Technician, you will
- Boldly help our team redefine preclinical drug discovery and radically improve people’s lives
- Contribute in creating the foundation necessary for expanding our drug discovery capabilities through accountable teamwork and balancing of responsibilities
- Perform animal work involved in the husbandry, health monitoring, receiving and clinical treatment of laboratory rodents
The Team You’ll Join
Reporting to the Research Execution Supervisor, you will join a truly cross-functional team in an environment that requires collaboration and communication across multiple departments. Communication is especially important to the success of our team as much of our reporting is done electronically. The Experience You’ll Need
- 1+ years of actively participating in the directional execution of in vivo studies in collaboration with investigators.
- Proficient in the following in vivo procedures:
- Dosing administration ( IP, SC, PO)
- Body weight measurements
- Clinical observations
- Necropsy
- Blood collection through various routes (tail, submandibular, submental, etc.)
- Euthanasia
- Experience in collection of detailed experimental and animal health records using data collection software such as Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, Pristima/Provantis/StudyLog,Softmouse, etc.
- Experience in animal husbandry, including daily health checks, feeding and watering of animals and cage changes
- Experience breeding colonies tasks such (ie: tissue collection for genotype, mating, weaning, etc) preferred but not required
- Good Documentation Practices in a non-GLP or GLP environment is preferred
How You’ll be Supported
- Throughout your onboarding, our Vivarium trainer will support you with all the necessary training prior to the execution of in-vivo studies
- You will have regular 1:1s with your direct supervisor where you will be provided with opportunities for support and feedback
- Your supervisor will recommend and support relevant certifications that will increase your impact on the company and our mission to decode biology

At Recursion, we believe that every employee should be compensated fairly. Based on the skill and level of experience required for this role, the estimated current annual base range for this role is:
- Developing: $67,500
- Skilled: $75,000
- Expert: $82,500

You will also be eligible for bonuses and equity compensation + our comprehensive benefits package for United States based candidates. The range displayed on each job posting reflects target ranges for US new hire salaries and is determined by job, level, and market factors.
