About the Role

The VP of Product at Particle is a visionary driver of our product platform strategies. This senior leadership role is cross-functional by nature and will partner closely with our engineering, marketing, sales, finance and operations departments to ideate, develop, and deliver high-quality products that meet business goals and ultimately help our customers, communities, and patients address their needs.

The VP of Product will be fully accountable for the creation and execution of Particle Health’s product development roadmap, which includes a mix of building new and evolving existing data, analytics, and interface products.

We will consider candidates located in the United States who have a preference towards filling this role with a NY local candidate who is able to work in office 2x/week per our hybrid office model.

What You’ll Do

  • Product Strategy & Vision: ​​ Define and advance the product strategy and roadmap of Particle aligning with our overall strategic objectives and commercial goals.
  • Create clear product requirements, set product priorities, and align with key business stakeholders to connect company strategy to product execution and commercial goals.
  • Product Roadmap and Prioritization: Develop and communicate a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with business objectives and customer needs. Prioritize feature development, balancing short-term and long-term goals, financial impact, customer feedback, market trends, and technical feasibility.
  • Product Development and Lifecycle Management: Lead the end-to-end product development process from concept to launch and beyond.
  • Work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, cs, and operations to conceive, build, test, and launch viable data products across core market segments.
  • Establish and implement a highly effective product development and product prioritization process rooted in regular communication with stakeholders.
  • Develop best-practice playbooks for product development and guide other Product leaders within the organization to drive adoption
  • Ensure that products are developed and integrated according to schedule, on budget, meet quality and security standards, cost/benefit objectives, and market demand.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, develop, and mentor a world-class team of product professionals.
  • Cross Functional Partnership & Performance: Build strong working relationships across the company, including data and infrastructure teams, to regularly achieve buy-in that facilitates repeatable and consistent product delivery, from ideation, roadmap, development, launch, metrics reporting and ongoing enhancements.
  • User-Centric Design: Advocate for user-centric design principles and ensure a deep understanding of customer needs and pain points. Drive the development of intuitive, engaging, and innovative product experiences that delight users and differentiate our offerings in the market.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Implement data-driven decision-making processes and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track product performance. Monitor product adoption, user engagement, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and drive iterative enhancements.
  • Product Marketing: Develop value prop and messaging across product offerings that integrates with our market map
  • Monetization & pricing strategy: Make informed decisions around monetization, pricing, and product enhancements that achieve MRR & ARR growth objectives.
  • Competitive Analysis : Keep abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor offerings. Identify opportunities for differentiation and continuously refine our value proposition.

What We Look For

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years product strategy and/or management experience, within enterprise SaaS (preferably startup), b2b health tech companies.
  • 5+ years work experience in the hospital/healthcare domain.
  • Track record of product invention and commercialization achieving key measurements of success. Strong command for GTM is a must!
  • Deep strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights and customer needs into product strategies and roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated experience leading product teams, with strong emphasis on mentorship and coaching and function capacity and capabilities development.
  • Excellent leadership and team building skills, with proven ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills - speaks clearly and articulately in a way that resonates with others
  • Holds a strong command of software technologies and can translate that into creative, innovative solutions that support new customer growth, existing customer retention, and expansion.

Outcomes for Success

  • Refine and update 12 month product roadmap outlining top priorities and key measurements of success (e.g. revenue metrics/adoption/etc.)
  • Clearly defined plan for analytics offerings (predictive insights, ML, etc)
  • Established roles, responsibilities, and expectations for all members of the product org in the first 30 days.
