Role & Impact
As the People & Operations Program Manager, you'll play a crucial role in shaping Orb's culture, streamlining our operations, and supporting our rapid growth. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our team's success and work environment.
Onboarding and culture:
Design and manage the onboarding experience for new hires.
Coordinate company-wide events and initiatives to foster a strong culture.
Coordination for birthday and work anniversary celebrations.
Research HR policy creation. Execute strategic people projects around review cycles and company values.
Office management:
Oversee day-to-day office operations, including meal programs and visitor logistics.
Manage office budget and coordinate monthly team events.
Act as an advocate for promoting and developing Orb company culture.
Compliance and administration:
Ensure compliance with company filings and registrations.
Support internal finance processes for vendor payments and expense tracking.
Executive support:
Provide high-level support to founders, including email triage and calendar management.
Execute strategic projects to increase leadership leverage.
About You
5+ years of experience in HR, operations, recruiting, or executive assistant roles.
Proactive problem-solver with experience in fast-growing technology startups.
Strong project management skills and proficiency with tools like Asana.
Passion for building and maintaining company culture.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Discretion in handling confidential information.
Based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In order to thoughtfully scale the company and avoid downstream inequities, we don’t use leveling titles at Orb. You will not see us use prefixes like “Senior” in our job descriptions. We include experience requirements for every role and compensate employees based on their experience and internal level within Orb.
