The (contract) People Operations Manager is a utility player within the People & Culture (P&C) team. Primary focus will be to partner collaboratively across functional disciplines to ensure efficient workflows, policy development, compliance adherence, and data analysis on all people-related efforts. The People Operations Manager will be responsible for technical project management on efforts related to improving company-wide P&C systems, programs, and communication.

• Support various P&C programs by working closely with Directors and Business Partners on creating efficient workflow processes (Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Talent, Training & Development, IT).

• Collaborate with Head of P&C, internal stakeholders, and vendors to identify relevant and engaging training programs for new hire onboarding, professional development, and compliance.

• Be a valuable utility player for the P&C team, helping as needed with employee relations, business client engagement, policy audits and development, technical project coordination, and workflow process documentation.

• Manage monthly “P&C Office Hours” program, and partner with P&C colleagues to ensure employees understand available resources.

• Analyze problems, determine approach, compile data, and prepare reports/recommendations on P&C programs

• Assist finance, legal, and IT teams with audits to ensure compliance.

• Collaborate with Employee Resource Teams (ERTs) to assess current programs and analyze efficiencies and alignment with Encoded mission, vision, and values.

• Advise Head of P&C and team of efficiencies that may be realized through modification of existing procedures.

This is an hourly contract role. In the state of CA, depending on experience, the offered rate will be $75-95/hour. depending on experience.

We are seeking someone who can work onsite as needed at our offices in S. San Francisco.
