What is this opportunity?
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Legal Counsel to join Eleos as the company’s first in-house legal hire. As a standalone role, you will have the unique opportunity to build and shape the legal function from the ground up, handling a broad range of legal responsibilities while helping Eleos scale its operations globally. Reporting to the VP of Finance, you will serve as a trusted advisor across the organization, providing guidance on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. This role has the potential to grow into leading a legal department as Eleos continues to expand.

What You’ll Do:

• Act as a strategic partner to the GTM team, providing legal support to enable deals and streamline the contracting process with customers and partners.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, licensing, vendor contracts, NDAs, and technology agreements.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and business development teams to identify legal risks and provide pragmatic solutions that drive business outcomes.
• Ensure contracts are structured to align with company goals while mitigating risks and adhering to legal and regulatory standards.
• Support the development and implementation of efficient processes for contract negotiation and execution to accelerate deal cycles.
• Advise on data protection, privacy, and compliance matters, particularly in the context of SaaS and healthcare-related agreements.
• Develop and protect the company’s intellectual property portfolio, including trademarks and copyrights, while addressing IP-related issues.
• Act as the primary liaison with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters, managing relationships and budgets effectively.
• Stay up-to-date on legal developments in SaaS, AI, and privacy laws to ensure proactive compliance and readiness for new regulations.
• Provide cross-functional legal support, including for product, R&D, and operational teams, to align legal considerations with business objectives.
