About the role
Our Behavioral Health Care Managers are the consistent, trusted advocates at the very center of our care model. By providing targeted behavioral health support that integrates with the patient’s physical healthcare, they serve as the vital bridge that unifies the entire care team—from primary care provider to psychiatric consultant—around a single, compassionate plan.
Specifically, the Associate BHCM is our entry-level behavioral health clinician role which delivers care to patients with cancer through the Collaborative Care Model. With guidance and support from senior-level teammates, they improve the health of patients and develop additional skills and clinical expertise.
This is a fully remote opportunity supporting one or more of our partner practices, working Central or East Coast hours, 9:00am - 5:30pm CT / ET.
Core Responsibilities
• Develop a trusted, effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team
• Work within a partner oncology group to support patients, clinicians, and practice staff with the identification and intake of patients needing behavioral health support
• Support the mental health of patients with cancer on an assigned patient caseload
• Provide brief behavioral interventions tailored for the cancer setting
• Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
• Facilitate patient engagement and follow-up care
• Provide patient education about common mental health and substance abuse disorders and the available treatment options
• Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
• Support psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, focusing on treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and effectiveness of treatment
Requirements
- Demonstrate an eagerness to learn, grow professionally, and gain experience learning behavioral health therapeutic interventions
- Relevant internship or work experience in a healthcare setting, behavioral health setting, and / or oncology setting
- You are working toward, license-eligible, or currently holding one of the following: Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).

- Dedicated to providing evidenced-based care and have a demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team setting
- Have a passion for delivering quality behavioral health care
- Availability to work Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm CT or ET
