The Team You’ll Work With

Carta is looking for an Account Executive to join our Investor Services team, based in Sydney, Australia.

Carta expanded to the Asia Pacific region in 2021 and we are building a world-class team to support the venture capital and private equity ecosystems. Most of our team is based in Singapore, with a small number of remote employees based around the region, including in Australia.

The Problems You’ll Solve

In just 5 years, Carta has become the largest Fund Administrator to VCs in the world, driven by our game changing approach to combining technology and services and our compelling network effects. We are expanding quickly in adjacent sectors including Private Equity.

We’re ready to bring our unique value proposition to the Australian market, and we’re looking for a local expert who is excited to help us achieve these ambitious goals.

If you have knowledge of Fund Administration and are excited by the idea of bringing transformative change to a traditional industry, then we want to work with you!

  • Evangelize Carta’s unique value proposition to the Australian VC and PE markets
  • Map and communicate the business impact of our product offerings to key decision makers
  • Identify and communicate effectively with Go-to-Market Leads new areas for business growth
  • Understand customer needs and requirements and act as a trusted business advisor
  • Drive revenue through strategic outbound prospecting
  • Own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close
  • Develop a comprehensive go to market plan to prioritize and execute against the opportunity in Australia, in partnership with your cross functional leads.

About You

  • >4 years in a sales or business development role of a fund administration or fund operations business.
  • Understanding of venture capital & private equity as an asset class
  • Understanding of fund administration services / fund operations
  • Experience outbound prospecting, networking and building relationships
  • Managing a pipeline, and closing sizable deals
  • Articulate, poised, and concise
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient - Comfortable working in a high velocity startup environment
  • Self-starter, humble, problem-solver and adaptable to change
  • Candidate must be authorized to work in Australia without sponsorship

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of SaaS businesses, or experience in a SaaS sales role
