About You

The Technical Program Developer 1, Company Operations Engineering role is responsible for ingesting program and project designs and developing high-leverage programs and projects that optimize company operational processes. In this role, you will own the implementation and documentation of various new company programs.

The candidate must show a high degree of ownership, as they will be solely responsible for developing a variety of programs across the company that are critical to the overall success of the business. The candidate must show a high degree of integrity and utilize excellent judgment in their work, as through the program development process, they will determine how a team of Program Managers uses their time to execute their assigned programs. At times, they may have access to confidential employee information and important corporate documents; additionally, they may, at times, be representing the company internally and/or externally.

The candidate should have experience working in ambiguous, start-up-like environments between completely different types of work, as they will be responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting a variety of programs that range from GTM to Marketing to EPD programs.

Oral, interpersonal, and written communication skills

  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate with others, particularly being able to explain the purpose behind the programs the candidate will be running to other employees who may be required to participate or produce required deliverables
  • Strong written communication skills are required as the candidate will be in consistent communication with the company’s leadership team and they must be able to clearly and accurately communicate the deliverables they need via email. The candidate must use good judgment and carefully consider the tradeoff between providing more context and concisely communicating the message
  • Ability to clearly and professionally communicate via presentation (specifically Google Slides). Many of the COE programs require creating professional presentations that will be shared with large audiences (including the entire company weekly)

Program Development Skills

  • Implement program design plans from senior staff, creating functional programs that effectively use technologies such as Google Drive, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Google Slides, Atlassian JIRA, Atlassian Confluence, Zapier, and Slack
  • Interpret ambiguous design plans, applying excellent judgment and critical thinking to achieve the program's business objectives while considering the broader business context
  • Must be self-motivated, capable of developing programs and writing documentation independently, and hold themselves accountable for the success or failure of their assigned projects.

Documentation Interpretation skills

  • The COE team operates with a high degree of velocity, and the candidate must be able to read, understand, and take action based on existing documentation. This sometimes includes navigating uncertainty and being able to give constructive feedback on our documentation.
  • Committed to creating clear documentation. Every existing program in the COE requires detailed documentation of the program's purpose, stakeholders, process, and key deliverables.

Technical Skills

  • Expert in the following technologies: Gsuite, Confluence, Jira, & Slack
  • Proficient in, or quickly learn the following technologies: Gmail, how to use a Mac computer (including using the mentioned applications and basic computer skills like duplicating files, zipping/unzipping documents, playing audio files, resizing images, opening images, etc.)
  • Familiar with or willing and able to quickly learn the following technologies: Salesforce, Webflow (or other CMS systems), Figma, Descript, Asana, and Superhuman

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ingesting program and project design plans from senior program development staff
  • Conduct technical implementation of programs or projects, building necessary infrastructure across multiple technologies (e.g., Google Sheets, Jira, Confluence, Salesforce)
  • Write clear and executable program documentation, operating documents, and key success metric tracking documents
  • Deliver implemented and documented programs to the program management team
  • Ensure Program Managers understand the purpose and precise steps needed for program execution by the required due date
  • Ingest bug and program improvement reports from the senior program management team
  • Re-implement program processes and update necessary documentation to debug or improve programs

Role Responsibilities and Deliverables

  • Establish short-term and long-term goals in line with corporate objectives and achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Meet and exceed overall bookings targets as well as partner-sourced pipeline and booking targets (New Business Meetings, pipeline $ goals)
  • Develop a go to market strategy and Partner Account Plans with our named National Partners that include a set of agreed upon sales goals, marketing goals, and enablement goals.
  • Put together a channel enablement plan in place with the National Partners for the sales, technical and specialist teams.
  • identify key security technical resources and key email security technical resources and create a specific enablement plan to educate them on our offerings, new features, how we compare to the competition, and ultimately turn them into knowledgeable Abnormal technical champions
  • Create a demand generation strategy with the National Partners alongside the Abnormal Security channel marketing team to drive customer demand and partner-sourced pipeline.
  • Work with the sales teams to determine which high-value prospects they deem their top targets, and then leverage our National Partners to gain entry into those accounts where they have strong relationships (sniper approach to getting into high-value targeted accounts)
  • Drive alignment between Abnormal Sales, Technical and Executive Leadership, and key Partner Executives
  • Identify, within each National Partner, key individuals that we need to develop into “Abnormal Champions”, and then develop a plan for making that happen (regular cadence of enablement, product updates, sharing of the roadmap, executive exposure, etc)
  • Write and distribute Partner Win Wires every month to maintain and gain partner mindshare with the National Partners
  • Conduct regular sales training presentations with partner sales teams to ensure they understand and can articulate Abnormal Security's product and services
  • Assist with driving pipeline, sales qualification, and closing of business
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Abnormal Security's competitive positioning in the marketplace
  • Develop expertise in different areas of Partner Program Operations (Requirements / Benefits, Enablement and Certification paths, other Partner Programs, SPIFF payment platforms, etc) and take an active leadership role in getting these implemented at Abnormal

Base salary range:
$93,500$110,000 USD
