We are searching for a detail oriented team player to execute daily shipping responsibilities. As a shipping associate, you will be responsible for the creation of shipping documents and working hands-on to fulfill orders in a timely manner. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a desire to learn and adapt to new processes, and familiarity with shipping biological and synthetic materials. All of these skills are put together to provide high quality products in a fast turnaround time for our customers.
The shift for this role is Monday - Friday.
What You'll Do:
- Coordinate with manufacturing and commercial operations to ensure daily orders are picked, packed, and shipped on-time
- Inspect finished product and report defects to appropriate team member
- Verify accuracy of order contents and documentation prior to packaging and shipment
- Generate domestic and international shipping documents through our automated system or manually, as required
- Ensure all product specified documents necessary for shipment are accurate and accompany shipment in transit
- Ensure all applicable shipping compliance regulations are upheld
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of packaging materials such as boxes, labels, ice bricks, and dry ice
- Maintain a safe workplace in compliance with all company policies
- Facilitate on-demand shipping logistic decisions based on domestic and international shipping constraints
- Safely operate hand-held equipment, follow general and job-specific safety guidelines
About You:
- 2+ years of experience in similar role with increasing responsibilities
- Proficient with MS Office, GSuite, Smartsheets, and ability to learn new software
- Able to balance multiple priorities, while maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Works well under time constraints
- Thrives in a fast paced environment
- Team player, able to interact with various functions within the business
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to lift 50-75lbs
- Experience with domestic and international cold chain shipping
