Poshmark India is looking for a well-rounded Associate Director, People Operations. As the India lead for HR, you will need to partner with our leaders to foster Poshmark’s culture and community as we grow as well as manage the day-to-day operations of HR, such as the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs, and oversee the areas of benefits, compensation and hiring.

The HR Team is composed of various people taking care of core HR functions such as Recruitment, Operations and HR Business partnering. Together, they collaborate with the business to meet our business goals and grow. Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute key HR functions such as strategic planning and org design, compensation, performance acceleration, employee relations, and talent strategies across teams.
  • Create and execute effective People Ops and Administrative processes.
  • Strategic oversight of Talent Strategies including recruiting and headcount planning efforts, branding and talent retention.
  • Be responsible for hiring best-in-class Engineering and non-engineering talent.
  • Partner and cross collaborate with the US headquarters and the HR team there
  • Own employee relations, working with managers to ensure success of team members
  • Foster a culture of employee growth through learning and development programs
  • Coordinate and support new People program implementations.
  • Assist with the maintenance and accuracy of HR data, including data audits.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of local and global employment laws; maintain and store records judiciously and securely.
  • Partner with and support senior regional executives and country managers, building professional credibility and mutual trust, and ensuring that internal clients have access to high-quality advice and direction to support in delivering business strategy and plans.
  • Develop HR frameworks and tools, ensuring that these meet business needs, align with internal programs and practices, and reflect customs, norms, and regulations in the operating region you support.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years hands-on experience working across HR functions
  • Bachelors / MBA in Human Resources or related field.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivated and persistent with a "Never Give Up" attitude
  • The ability to think at a high level about company strategy and vision (not just 'how it should be implemented' but 'what we should implement and why exactly)
  • Versed with HR best practices as well as employment laws in India markets
  • Well connected to the relevant professional circles in India
  • Experience working in a matrix environment, preferably developing strategies for developing highly effective matrix leadership teams.
  • Experience with managing complex HR programs, including policy design and development including experience leading change at scale.
  • Ability to be flexible and forward-thinking within a changing organization. Must possess strong organizational change abilities
  • Demonstrable track record to tailor his/her communication style to work well with partners at all levels in the organization; effective at influencing, facilitating, and problem solving
