Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Manager of IT Infrastructure at Harness, the Senior IT Systems Administrator I will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing our corporate IT infrastructure. This role requires not only strong technical expertise but also a service-oriented approach, exceptional communication skills, problem-solving acumen, and a deep understanding of business needs. In addition, it necessitates flexibility and the ability to accommodate a global company's schedule, including participating in meetings during US hours.
About the role
- Automation Advocate: Lead the charge in automating IT/Business processes, promptly responding to automation requests, and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Security Sentinel: Uphold a vigilant security mindset, ensuring the utmost protection for access, data, and systems, all while adhering to stringent security protocols.
- Integration Guru: Harness the power of Workato, Zapier, and Okta Workflows to create seamless integrations that enhance productivity and improve the overall customer experience.
- Customer-Centric Approach: Prioritize the customer experience, both within the IT team and across the organization, by providing tier 2/3 escalation support, conducting training, and serving as a valuable resource to colleagues.
- Application Custodian: Take ownership of maintaining and supporting our core corporate applications, serving as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for these vital systems.
- Proactive Troubleshooter: Actively monitor systems, promptly identify issues, and conduct thorough root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems.
- Knowledge Architect: Contribute to the creation of comprehensive documentation for policies, procedures, and knowledge base articles, facilitating efficient troubleshooting and knowledge sharing.
- Ownership Champion: Embrace a culture of ownership, taking charge of tasks and issues, and driving them relentlessly toward resolution.
- Innovation Catalyst: Actively participate in technical research and development, fostering a culture of innovation that continuously propels our company forward.
About you
- Experience Maven: Bring a wealth of experience to the table, boasting a track record of supporting at least 500+ end users in a rapidly expanding environment.
- Application Aficionado: Demonstrate a minimum of 3+ years of experience administering a wide array of systems, including Google Workspace, BetterCloud, Okta, Atlassian, Slack, Jamf/Kandji, Intune, and others.
- Operating System Expert: Possess at least 3+ years of experience providing tier 3-level support for Mac OS, with Windows OS experience as an added advantage.
- Networking Navigator: Navigate networking systems with 3+ years of experience, complemented by a solid grasp of TCP/IP networking technology/hardware .
- Security Steward: Approach issues and solutions with a security-first mindset, safeguarding our digital assets.
- Identity Management Guru: Leverage your expertise in implementing and supporting SAML, SCIM authentication and provisioning, Okta lifecycle management, and workflows.
- Jamf/Kandji Virtuoso: Demonstrate proficiency in configuring Jamf/Kandji configuration profiles, policies, and patch management.
- Project Pioneer: Showcase your experience in IT projects, email migration initiatives, VOIP systems, and configuring email security policies.
- Troubleshooting Trailblazer: Possess exceptional troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis effectively.
- Security Framework Sage: Understand and apply security frameworks and the RBAC model in your daily activities.
- Communication Maestro: Excel in conveying technical and non-technical information clearly and concisely.
- Self-Motivated Maverick: Exhibit self-motivation, both as an independent worker and a collaborative team player, capable of managing multiple priorities and leading projects.
- Logical Luminary: Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and a high aptitude for logical thinking.
- Scripting Savvy: Any scripting experience is a bonus, and additional kudos if you have DNS management experience

Work Location
