As the Director of Technical Infrastructure, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the technical infrastructure necessary to support our developers, operations, and our fleet of autonomous forklifts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the scalability, security, and reliability of our systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive infrastructure strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cloud services management, ensuring efficient utilization and cost optimization.
• Manage and maintain compute infrastructure on robots and at customer sites.
• Establish monitoring systems for proactive issue detection.
• Promote automation and DevOps practices to streamline infrastructure management and deployments.
• Manage the budget for technical infrastructure, optimizing costs and allocating resources effectively.
• Build and lead a team of engineers and analysts, providing mentorship and setting clear goals.
• Establish and manage relationships with vendors and partners.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Implement and maintain security measures to protect our data, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

What you’ll need:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar technical infrastructure leadership role, preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud services (e.g., GCP, Azure), server management, networking, security, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with IoT or distributed device management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Experience with budget management and vendor relations.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Nice to have:

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, information technology, or related field
