Bitsight is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President of Growth Marketing to lead global demand generation for our growing company. This highly visible, strategic and cross-functional role will drive qualified pipeline and bookings growth in our target market segments across multiple geographies. The right candidate will lead a talented team to design, deliver and optimize multi-channel growth marketing campaigns across buyer profiles/personas, telling compelling customer-centric value stories and ensuring Bitsight is known as THE trusted and differentiated cyber risk management industry leader. This position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer and leads a global team of ~15 people (directors and individual contributors).

What the role looks like:

Strategy and planning: Develop annual and quarterly demand generation priorities/goals that are informed by business objectives, market/competitor and customer insights, category dynamics and marketing campaign and program performance. Make recommendations and adjustments that effectively balance near-term business targets with long-term, sustaining revenue generation. This includes frequent analysis and ability to derive actionable insights from actual and expected marketing-driven results in partnership with sales, finance and revenue operations.

Global demand generation marketing: Lead a team to create and continually optimize integrated campaigns across a range of programs and channels including paid and organic search, display, content syndication, in-app, live and on-demand events, nurture/direct marketing, customer retention/advocacy, the website and partners/channel. This includes balancing a strong focus on optimizing to drive inbound commercial/mid-market buyers cost-effectively via the website as well as developing and scaling an intent-based Account Based (ABM) approach to enterprise segments in partnership with sales. Key to success will be the ability to leverage technology to target and segment our new logo buyers and customers, differentiate our value proposition, reach them effectively and efficiently move them through the full buyer journey to sale. The right candidate will have experience scaling global marketing teams and leveraging important cultural trends, nuances and insights to ensure effective regional results.

Delivering results with financial/business acumen: Develop and manage the team to deliver against demand marketing KPIs and committed marketing sourced pipeline and bookings growth. This includes regular financial planning/forecasting, actively managing and optimizing the marketing program spend budget to achieve increasingly efficient pipeline growth, frequent reporting and communication of results and efforts to improve, to team, partners and leadership.

Partnering effectively: Partner with product, revenue ops, sales and within marketing to develop the business-level GTM strategy as well as translate it into the campaign programs, channels and tactics to efficiently generate qualified buyers (new logo and current customers). Partner to optimize the full buyer journey (lead -> pipeline -> close/won -> retain/renew -> up/cross sell) business processes. Actively partner with outside agencies and contractors to achieve objectives.

Key Success Metrics: The success of this role will be measured by
(1) Employee Engagement scores
(2) Marketing sourced and multi-touch attributed ARR
(3) Qualified pipeline generated (quality and quantity of SQLs/Opportunities)
(4) Marketing Cost to Acquire a Customer (M-CAC).

This role will be particularly focused on optimizing the marketing mix and partnering with sales to drive efficient bookings growth in line with our GTM strategy and industry benchmarks.

Position requirements:

  • 12-15+ years of B2B SaaS marketing experience in a multi-segment, multi-product/solution environment where marketing is accountable for sourcing +40% of the pipeline for business with an ARR target. Top candidates will have a proven track record of leading teams to develop and execute global, integrated brand to demand marketing campaigns to commercial, mid-market and enterprise segments which drive growth with new logo buyers and existing clients. Experience marketing to senior level executive buyers (CISOs, CIOs) and their surrounding buying team persons is key.

  • 7+ years people leadership and management with a demonstrated ability to attract, develop, retain and inspire a high performing team to achieve results. This includes the ability to coach and lead in a location independent, multi-global time zone environment.

  • 3+ years experience in cybersecurity industry strongly preferred.

  • Proven financial and analytical acumen. Deep experience analyzing, managing and measuring data and results in comparison to previous performance and best practice benchmarks. Understands how to collect customer insights and turn qualitative and quantitative data into action. Proven experience optimizing marketing mix and program spend to achieve target Cost per Opportunity and CAC targets.

  • Fluency and use of key marketing technology, automation and processes that are required for an effective, modern revenue marketing team. This includes proven experience working with workflow (Asana, Airtable), Automation (Marketo, Hubspot), BI (Looker, Tableau), Intent & ABM platforms (Demandbase, 6Sense) and multi-touch attribution (Marketo Measure, Full Circle Insights)

  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with strong executive presence. Excellent cross-functional leadership and partnership skills, with proven ability to build strong trust-based relationships, drive alignment and accountability between functional teams

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing; MBA strongly preferred

  • If not located in a Boston, MA headquarters, the ability to travel every 5-6 weeks for in person business meetings, to include ~2 international trips per year to Bitsight events and office locations.
