Senior Business Development Manager - Credit Cards at Credit Sesame

The ideal candidate must be confident and skilled at managing high growth partnerships and measuring the effectiveness of new and existing campaigns. Deep knowledge and understanding of key performance metrics is required. The candidate who will be hired is a highly skilled communicator and is knowledgeable about personal and consumer finance and is savvy about business models, trends and challenges existing in the FinTech industry.

What you will do?

    • Lead communications and serve as primary point of contact for various partner relationships/verticals including Credit Cards.
    • Promptly and professionally manage partner needs and requests in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication skills (in-person and over the phone) including presentation skills (to large groups and one-to-one). Exceptionally strong email skills complemented by intuition and judicious discretion about usage.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task amongst competing priorities.
    • Strong track record of using metrics and data to formulate strategy and actionable recommendations that generate value for partners and Credit Sesame.
    • Regularly review performance dashboards to identify and act on business opportunities and risks.
    • Use business knowledge, analytical skills and relationship experience to execute complex initiatives, such as onboarding new partners or developing integrations with existing partners.
    • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize partner campaigns and shape new strategies to deliver value.
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of performance-based marketing models and metrics: CPA, CPM, CPL, CPC, conversion rate, click through rate, approval rate, etc.


    • BA/BS Degree
    • Four plus years of successful Business Development experience in partnership management, media buying, or affiliate marketing.  
    • Substantial experience developing and managing complex partnerships, preferably proven by at least 4+ years of experience in a partner-facing role
    • Demonstrated success identifying, structuring, activating and managing high growth partnerships.
    • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Natural leadership, charisma and strong integrity that contributes positively to the culture of a fast-growing start-up.
    • Adaptable in a startup environment with the ability to move quickly and make decisions in challenging situations.
