Manager, Europe Human Resources - (18001249) at Carbonite

The Manager, Europe Talent Management is responsible for overseeing the Human Resources functions in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, France, Switzerland and Germany. You will partner with the business and manage the HR agenda across the region, including the following processes; Benefits Administration, Compensation, Performance Management, Compliance, Employee Onboarding; for the Europe region.

 

You drive organizational development and change in regional projects and ensure delivery of HR services which are efficient and compliant with laws, regulations, and policies. You will also be involved in company acquisition initiatives in Europe, including set-up of HR operations in countries that Carbonite may not yet be established. The Manager, Europe Talent Management is expected to maintain an effective level of business literacy about the region’s financial metrics and goals, its annual plan, its culture and its competition. You report to the Director, Global Talent Management, who is based in the US, and will have 1-2 HR direct reports across the European region.

 

Specific Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • Establish HR policies and procedures for each European country that Carbonite is based, including country employee handbooks. 
  • Develop Country benefit plans for industry competitiveness. 
  • Support compensation activities, ensuring compliance with country specific labour laws and regulations, ensuring salary alignment across multiple countries and regions. 
  • Implement country specific employee onboarding programs aligned with Global onboarding process and Company culture. 
  • Support implementation of global HR processes for the Europe Region. 
  • Provide support and coaching to managers on employee issues, conflict resolution and policy compliance.  
  • Act as a trusted advisor to Europe Regional Leadership. 
  • Lead, manage and coach Europe HR team.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience managing, influencing and supporting multicultural teams 
  • Team player; comfortable with high volume workload and prepared to ‘roll up your sleeves’ when necessary 
  • Strategic thinker; develop, implement and manage HR solutions to support regional business needs. 
  • Ability to lead activities and projects to successful deadlines 
  • Experience solving complex HR problems in multiple countries. 
  • Ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment 
  • A University degree in Business Administration or similar, and a post graduate qualification in HR is preferable 
  • 10- 15 years of experience as HR professional and minimum 5 years management experience in a dynamic, global organization 
  • Multiple European country HR management experience in the countries that Carbonite is based; Switzerland, Germany, UK, Ireland, France, Netherlands 
  • Multiple language skills preferred
