Marketing Manager, Automation/Marketo - (18001246) at Carbonite

Carbonite’s Customer Lifecycle Marketing team oversees all customer marketing programs, with the ultimate goal of driving revenue through our direct and channel business.  As Carbonite continues to scale, we’re seeking a Marketing Automation Manager to join this fast-paced, collaborative team to administer and support a wide range of marketing initiatives around lead generation, lead nurture, renewal, and communications to our channel partners and customers. In this role, you’ll help implement and use the latest marketing technologies in marketing automation, CRM and web to support the execution of campaigns. The role requires strategic, technical and analytical skills.


Specific Objectives and Responsibilities:


Your First Six Months:

  • Become familiar with Carbonite’s product lines, business processes, business systems, communication streams and partner ecosystem
  • Execute partner campaigns and communications using Marketo.
  • Manage technical aspects of key marketing automation systems including Marketo and Salesforce.com to capture, nurture, score and report on partner leads
  • Analyze channel marketing program results and make recommendations for future improvements
  • Create and maintain metrics reports and analyze marketing data to develop insights, measure ROI and make recommendations on areas for optimization
  • Build relationships with internal departments and outside agencies and consultants as required to effectively execute on programs and plans

Six to Twelve Months and Beyond:

  • Continually A/B test our marketing site's calls-to-action, landing pages, and lead generation content to increase the visitor to lead conversion rate
  • Establish closed-loop analytics with marketing and sales to understand how our marketing leads convert into customers, and identify blockages in the funnel
  • Work closely with other internal teams such as Creative, Web, IT, Analytics and Sales to ensure optimized campaign execution and lead management process

Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Marketing Automation, Marketing Operations and/or Marketing Analytics
  • Expert technical proficiency implementing and utilizing Marketo
  • Functional knowledge of digital demand generation, content marketing, lead nurture and email marketing as it relates to marketing automation
  • Basic web development and design skills and online form data capture with Marketo and Salesforce.com integration
  • Experience building and implementing a testing and optimization strategy to improve email, landing pages, and website performance
  • Excellent reporting and analytics skills to drive strategy with a solid understanding of reporting tools such as Marketo Revenue Analyzer and Salesforce.com
