The Jr. Industrial Engineer will report to and work with the Industrial Engineer and East Coast General Manager, overseeing the planning, design, build-out and management of our new GOH distribution center on the East Coast. The role will require a strong blend of analysis and real-world application of industrial engineering concepts and principles.
What You'll Do
Assist with design, layout and setup of new distribution center
Assist with implementation of Warehouse Management System and Labor Management System
Develop visual work instructions for warehouse operations
Conduct time studies, analyze and report on process and efficiency improvements
Focus on cost reduction and continuous improvement in all aspects of operations
Develop standard operating procedures based on industry best practices
Monitor and report on labor and process KPIs
Monitor and conduct supply chain analysis, review and improvement projects
Apply Lean manufacturing to processes and procedures
Apply and maintain 5S principles to warehouse operations
Review, monitor and improve work station ergonomics
Based at our new warehouse in Jenkins Township, PA
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree of Science in Industrial Engineering or in a related field
1-3 years of work experience
Advanced Excel and project management skills
Highly effective written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
Lean and 5S implementation experience
Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, and WMS software a plus
Apparel industry, menswear and/or startup experience a plus
