Telenav is looking for a motivated Information Security Engineer to be a key player in our IT team. This team is responsible for protecting our infrastructure, applications, and data. This candidate will be particularly responsible for identifying/responding to existing/new vulnerabilities and requirements within the organization.
Aid in the overall effort to identify security gaps and vulnerabilities within the infrastructure and drives projects to address gaps.
Push/implement specific security standards for system hardening and provide guidance when needed.
Work with Site Reliability/NOC, IT, and Product Engineering teams to ensure standards are implemented.
Identifying, triaging, and mitigating security risks
Working with IDS/IPS, Data loss prevention and Antivirus solutions
Security monitoring via in-house and commercial tools
Working with security and networking equipment from Juniper, Fortinet
Working with cloud based appliances
Writing and enforcing policies as required by partners
Knowledge sharing and training around security/development best practices
3+ years of relevant security and network experience required.
Technical knowledge and extensive implementation experience with security and networking architecture, networking protocols, network security design, wireless security, intrusion prevention/detection, and firewall architecture.
Knowledge or experience with system security (system hardening, HIDs, etc).
Baseline competency in administration of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure.
Technical understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, DNS and other technologies involved in delivering sophisticated web services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong self-directed work habits, exhibiting initiative, drive, creativity, maturity, self-assurance and professionalism.
Agile, proactive, comfortable working with ambiguous specifications and can prioritize on the fly.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
CISSP and/or other security based credential (GIAC GCIH/GCIA, etc.).
Familiarity with contemporary solutions for common security categories such as endpoint protection, data loss prevention, SIEM, etc.
Familiarity with common network vulnerability/penetration testing tools including, but not limited to, Metasploit, vulnerability scanners, Kali Linux, and Nmap.
Familiarity with industry standards such as SOC, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc.
Experience integrating SAML, RADIUS, and/or LDAP authentication.
