Job overview:

The Head of Asia Operations plays a critical role in the overall success of eero’s product fulfillment model. Their role is to build and manage the China based operations team for eero. This team will be responsible for the ongoing program management, partner management and quality engineering support at eero’s supply chain partner locations. This team will work daily with eero’s vendors to support mass production and new product introduction activities. eero’s Asia Operations team is empowered to make decisions. This team will work closely with eero’s US based manufacturing engineering, test engineering, sourcing and supply chain teams in a close knit and collaborative work environment.

What you’ll do:

Build eero’s Asia Operations team, supporting the following functions:
Program Management: monitor eero’s supply chain partners, identify issues and track those issues to resolution, and pro-actively address potential supply chain shortages
Quality Engineering: ongoing cosmetic and functional quality process management at contract manufacturing and component supplier locations
Mechanical Engineering: work with mechanical parts suppliers to bring up and qualify new production tools and processes
Build a strong organization by hiring leaders, individuals with the required capabilities for fast changing consumer markets, and seamlessly integrate eero’s culture into the Asia operations location
Deliver market intelligence surrounding supply chain opportunities, manufacturing processes, competitive trends, local hiring strategy and local Asian market opportunities
Drive supply chain innovation through process and tool re-engineering and implementation to respond to the speedy changes in the consumer IT product market.
Own quarterly business reviews with contract manufacturer(s) and key component suppliers
Manage supply chain partners to achieve key operational metrics of cost, quality, delivery, and predictability
Act as local executive escalation point to address and mitigate supply constraints
Draft and communicate policies to contract manufacturers and supply chain partners to help eero achieve corporate targets
Act as a trusted advisor to the eero management team to drive supply chain and overall corporate strategy
Ability to both manage and complete tactical day to day activities

We’re looking for someone with:

Minimum 10 years of supply chain, manufacturing engineering or commodity management experience
Ethics above reproach
Ability to interact with top leadership in multinational organizations with outstanding communication skills
Strong supply chain/logistic risk analytical skills
Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility
Able to travel frequently throughout China or Asia region in short notice
Ability to speak Mandarin and/or Cantonese, written language is a plus
Candidate must have a BS/BA degree, MBA is a plus
