As a senior manager of this team, you'll be responsible for the core of the Search Platform: Building on state-of-the-art algorithms, and taking a data-driven approach. Working with a team of strong engineers and scientists, you'll stretch the bounds of what's possible.

As a hands-on engineering leader, you'll stay on top of the details, ensuring the best technical direction and architecture in your team in addition to influencing cross functional teams with architecture trade-offs. As a manager, you'll own the road map for your team, set priorities, remove impediments, and help your organization operate efficiently and reach its full potential. Working closely with the global teams, you'll help to define the vision and influence the next generation Search & discovery features.


Masters in Computer Science or a related field.
5+ years of demonstrated excellence in building and leading technical teams
Experience recruiting and retaining high-talent engineers.
Strong spoken & written communication and inter-personal skills along with the ability to make hard decisions in a fast-moving environment.
8+ years of strong experience in software programming (Java and/or C++) & algorithms
Solid understanding of modern search engines and recommender systems.
Experience in building embedded software products would be a plus.
Experience building of geospatial services and datasets would be a plus.
