  • Collaborate in the cross functional team of engineers, designers, data analysts, product managers, product marketing managers, and policy researchers
  • Develop tools and insights for the 'Cities of Tomorrow' under movement.uber.com, and contribute to the source geospatial tool Kepler.gl

About the Team

Uber Movement shares anonymized data aggregated from over ten billion trips to help urban planning around the world. We help 30+ cities understand how people move through the physical world through travel times, segment-level speeds, road traffic, and mobility of electric bicycles and scooters. Besides the movement dashboard, we also provide secure data sharing APIs to meet the regulatory compliance (Open Mobility Foundation). Our team believes in the power of open data and data sharing standards (Urban Computing Foundation), and long-term solutions to strengthen partnership with the cities (NACTO data sharing, SharedStreets Pilot). We also support the development of the open source tool for geospatial analysis Kepler.gl.

As a team we are a diverse, open minded, and kind group of engineers and entrepreneurs who care about each other's well being and growth. We like to jump on adventures together, especially exploring bakeries, coffee shops, and food trucks! We collaborate with our broader team, Data Visualization, to organize hackathons, and engage with the public community by hosting meetups in SF and in NYC (youtube recordings).

At Uber, we ignite opportunity by setting the world in motion. We take on big problems to help drivers, riders, delivery partners, and eaters get moving in more than 600 cities around the world.

We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let's move the world forward, together.
