Director UX/UI at Unravel

Unravel Data is looking for a passionate, team-oriented Director of UX/UI  to to play a key leadership role in shaping the user experience design for our AI driven application management platform. This role is hands on. The Director of UX/UI will be responsible for setting  the strategic design vision for key initiatives and will manage of team of UX/UI engineers to realize their strategic vision. The ideal candidate has solid expertise in frontend technologies, is experienced in implementing quality products with a great customer experience, and is passionate about delivering results. About the Role

    • Leads and manages a team of UX/UI Engineers
    • Hires and retains top talent. Responsible for staffing resources for projects and ensures project deadlines are met by team members.
    • Architect, develop and test highly interactive front-end web applications and reusable components using current web technologies and frameworks.
    • Conceptualize original and user-friendly designs in an agile work environment
    • Collaborate with product managers to translate high-level requirements into prototypes and/or high-fidelity comps
    • Work within a high performance scrum team and ensure a high quality of deliverables
    • Collaborate across design, engineering, and product teams within an Agile development environment

About You

    • 10+ years proven UI/UX experience working successfully with product and engineering teams with at least 5 years managing a UX/UI  teams
    • Experience in building UI/UX for enterprise products related to DevOps, Systems Management,  Databases, Application Performance Management, Cloud Management etc.
    • BA/BS in Design Required, preferably in UX related fields of HCI, Industrial Design, Product Design, Architecture or Graphic Design. Masters degree preferred
    • Strong thought leadership and UX design vision skills, including strong analytical, strategic, and conceptual design skills
    • Expert project management and prioritization skills; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, at various stages of their development
    • Excellent people management skills, including the ability to attract and retain world class talent, as well as the ability to align resources to business needs while supporting the career development of staff members. Ability to inspire, develop, and coach team members
    • Strong verbal and written communicator with all levels of business leaders; ability to influence and cultivate relationship with key business stakeholders in the organization
    • Expertise in JavaScript/ES6 and at least one frontend framework (e.g. React, Angular, Vue, Ember). Familiarity with NodeJS and/or other backend environments. Experience with Webpack or Gulp
    • Experience visualizing data using D3, WebGL, Three.js, or other innovative technologies is a plus
    • Commitment to creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components
    • Experience writing production quality code, preferably in a product based company
    • Excellent at articulating, documenting and presenting ideas and work across the Engineering organization
