The Role:

Roku is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team.  Reporting to the Director of FP&A, Corporate Finance, this role will provide FP&A support to Roku’s G&A teams (Finance, HR, Legal, IT and Facilities), as well as participate in various Corp FP&A activities.  

Serving as a trusted business partner to multiple senior executives, you will drive the forecast, month/quarter-end close and annual plan processes.  You will focus on developing reporting, processes and models to provide business insights that are relevant and digestible to various stakeholder.  This role provides broad exposure to executive management and key decision makers across the company.  The ideal candidate should have strong financial budgeting and forecasting skills, excellent attention to detail, and be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own day to day business partnering and support tasks for all G&A groups
  • Drive the forecast, month/quarter-end close and annual plan processes
  • Partner with budget owners to understand OPEX drivers and manage budget expectations
  • Develop and maintain spend management dashboards and other business intelligence reporting
  • Provide analytical support and monitor key performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of changes. Conduct deep dives when observing abnormal trends
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting - analyzing financial results, identifying key trends, assessing current and future business risk, and communicating key insights
  • Identify and implement improvements to make financial and operational reporting better, faster and easier
  • Perform ad hoc analyses and projects from various business partners
  • Prepare departmental headcount and spending reports for all organizations
  • Help prepare presentations for Board of Directors and Senior Management team as needed
  • Manage and maintain the financial planning application

Skills and Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar quantitative discipline
  • 5+ years of FP&A experience, ideally in a high growth media, technology or software services company
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and demonstrated proficiency with advanced functions (macros, index, conditional list, arrays, lookups)
  • Advanced modeling skills and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of advanced analytical skills, attention to detail, dealing with ambiguity, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Results driven and able to strike the right balance between detail focused and grasping the big picture
  • Strong working knowledge of financial planning, forecasting and reporting processes
  • Demonstrated knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments. Practices a service-oriented business partnering approach and excels in relationship building across the organization
  • Proven track record of balancing simultaneous deliverables while consistently meeting tight deadlines
  • Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • Prior FP&A experience supporting real estate/facilities teams preferred
  • Experience with NetSuite and planning systems such as Adaptive Insights preferred
