Warehouse Accessories Lead at The Black Tux

A Black Tux Accessories Lead will be responsible for overseeing the production, quality, and safety of our Accessories Department.  An ideal candidate will possess excellent problem solving, communication and leadership skills. As an Accessories Lead, you will report to the Inbound Process Assistant and ensure all neckwear and hardware is back into inventory within 48 hours.

What You’ll Do

    • Lead a team of 5 to 8 associates to ensure all accessories are processed accurately and timely
    • Partner with in-house dry cleaning and Returns teams to manage daily volumes
    • Process accessories according to TBT work instructions
    • Expedite the processing of hot accessories for priority orders
    • Document dry cleaned accessories costs for invoice verification
    • Physically and systematically replace missing accessory barcodes using Highjump
    • Execute Floor plans, Start of Shift meetings, Area Readiness checklist, and End of Shift reporting daily
    • Monitor employee attendance and report issues to the Process Assistant
    • Hourly tracking and reporting of associates production and labor hours
    • Ensure all team members adhere to company SOPs and safety procedures
    • On the spot coaching of behavior and performance according to TBT policies and cultural values
    • Maintain a clean work area and address safety hazards with the maintenance manager
    • Provide on the job training for new hires
    • Promote continuous improvement throughout the organization
    • Maintain positive and professional communication with the management team
    • Understand and be able to learn industry-specific technology

Who You Are

    • 1 to 2 years experience as a warehouse lead or similar role is required
    • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld devices (RF)
    • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience in fast-paced, high unit retail Distribution Center environment
    • Analytical thinker; able to solve problems quickly and effectively
    • Experience and complete understanding of Lean and 5S concepts is a big plus
    • Apparel industry, menswear and/or startup experience a plus
    • Excellent planning and leadership abilities
    • Great organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks
    • You sweat the small stuff and pay attention to detail
    • Working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Drive
