Business Value Consultant at Unravel
Palo Alto, CA, US
We are establishing a Business Value Consulting practice. This is a strategic center of excellence aligned with the Sales organization to collaboratively work with customers to define, measure and communicate value throughout their pre and post Unravel Data deployment lifecycle. We develop business cases for Global Enterprises across all industries that clearly articulate sources of value for Economic buyers and senior management teams. 

About the Role

    • Define a methodology and documentation to effectively execute all value based activities in the sales and benefits identification process to drive consistent results and remain engaged with customers throughout their consideration cycle
    • Research and document gap analysis of current versus future state, identifying specific opportunities for improvement leveraging Unravel Data and 'before/after' Unravel Data benefits
    • Use in-depth business, technical, and financial analyses to understand the current assumptions and baselines and model out future capabilities and outcomes for the client
    • Facilitate collaborative multi-level executive workshops and interviews with key customer stakeholders.
    • Educate Unravel Data account teams on business value best practices and trends. Lead discovery workshops to understand key business issues, problem statements, and uncover sources of value for prospects and existing customers.
    • Identify, lead and contribute to the creation of best practices, white papers, workshops, etc. 
    • Be a high impact player in the Unravel Data high performing, high expectation, and dynamic sales organization

About You

    • 5-10+ years of experience in management consulting, value consulting/engineering, financial/investment analysis or other applicable roles
    • Degree in economics, finance or related required (Masters degree preferred)
    • Enterprise Business and financial modeling experience of ROI and TCO concepts to justify business cases
    • Experience and effectiveness in presenting to an executive level audience and excellent situational awareness in handling objections in dynamic customer environments
    • Strong verbal and written communication of qualitative and quantitative business cases
    • In-depth understanding of Operations Monitoring, Service Management, the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), and Agile DevOps concepts and methodologies
    • Experience and inquisitive personality to facilitate interview sessions with wide-ranging client roles and stakeholders
    • Strong facilitation skills, to encourage clear articulation of the business issues and effective solution design by the relevant players
    • Up to 50% travel to support sales efforts and industry events
