The Insurance Engineering team is made up of backend, mobile, and fullstack developers who are solving problems for our Insurance customers. Features for these customers span our website, mobile apps, and backend systems which requires a strong working knowledge of common front-end frameworks such as React and React Native in addition to knowledge of RESTful APIs and GraphQL. We take feedback from our customers seriously so you will be working closely with Product Managers and Designers to continuously improve the user experience. As you iterate, you’ll work closely with your fellow engineers to architect new systems, refactor code under test, and continuously deploy code to production.

The Insurance team works primarily on features that support our Insurance customer’s workflows which span from starting jobs in external Insurance platforms, having Homeowners capture their own for underwriting and claims, supporting insurance adjusters work in capturing the data they need to capture a claim. For the Insurance industry, a user's worst day has to be our best so it’s important to come with strong empathy for the customer experience and a consciousness that our systems need to work in situations that are not optimal. For us, this means that we have to ship features that are usable and delightful as well as a strong emphasis on offline support for business critical functionality. Some recent projects include improving our Homeowner connect features, helping pros better capture the photos they need, and new integrations with the software platforms our Insurance customers use today.
